"Last year’s Xonitek EU summit was definitely worth going to. It helped me to improve my lean vision further. They had some great key note speakers covering a range of different topics (methodology, culture change, roll out…) On top of that, my personal network extended significantly during and after the summit. I look forward to the 2010 edition."

Operational Excellence
Speaker 1: Arne Buthmann; Operational Excellence Practice Area Lead – Valeocon AG “Rapid Improvement Events as a Booster for Lean Six Sigma Deployments” Rapid Improvement Events (aka Kaizen Events) drive process improvement through team work. The approach is simple: in 1 to 5 days, a cross-functional team of process experts works together to generate and immediately implement improvement ideas. Companies use these events to solve issues such as long change-over times, too many machine breakdowns and short stoppages, insufficient or too long cleaning procedures, too many deviations and investigations times or complex documentation. This presentation will discuss the experience of the author with deploying Rapid Improvement Events and achieving impressive outcomes in a short period of time: the process problem gets fixed, process knowledge is increased and the cross-functional collaboration improved. It will specifically focus on the approach, the facilitation skills required and the alignment of these events with the overall Operational Excellence and business strategy. It will also provide tips and tricks for how to energize the staff, coach middle and senior managers, build internal capabilities through learning-by-doing, and measuring results.

Speaker 3: Peter Rösch; Owner – Dipl.Ing. Peter Rösch CMC/BDU "Transforming Compliance into Sustainable Market Value" Peter will introduce a new way of approaching compliance with proven leadership skills without focusing solely on regulatory dimensions. He will focus more on the process, people and technology side – making compliance not a must have, but a ´can-do´ in today's entrepreneurial challenge…
| 15:00 |
Stefanie Schulz
Speaker 2: Stefanie Schulz; Director – Anxo Consulting Supply chains have changed dramatically within the last few years due to globalization of the economy and adjustments of sources and markets. This change-over has not only an impact on the external chain but also on the internal organization. The process is not finished yet. Projects have to be carried out to move the supply chain into the new direction. However, more often than not, the change process was designed as a “technical” subject and not as a transformation process for organization, people and management. So projects failed. What are the main success factors to create and implement a sustainable and frictionless supply chain organization? How can the main failures be avoided? Stefanie, together with the participants, will discuss experience out of her own projects in different industries, different companies and different corporate cultures in order to give suggestions for future projects.
